Service Catalog // v1.0

IT services for homes & small businesses

Six service lines covering networks, cameras, security consulting, deployments, and PC work — each with a defined scope, honest boundaries, and documentation at handover. If a job isn't mine to do, I'll tell you who is.

The Catalog

01. Business Network Design & Setup

From a blank wall jack to a running network — I plan, build, and document small-business networks that stay fast, segmented, and secure.

Includes
  • Site assessment, IP addressing plan, VLAN segmentation, Wi-Fi coverage, firewall rules
  • Equipment selection and procurement list — buy direct or through me at cost + handling
  • Router, switch, and access-point deployment with a security hardening baseline
  • Handover package: network diagram, IP/VLAN documentation, credential sheet
  • 30-day post-install support window

Not included: in-wall cabling and electrical work (referred to licensed pros); ISP contracts; ongoing managed monitoring.

S1 · typical 12–40 h · 1–3 weeks

02. Security Camera Installation

Professional security camera installation — wired, reliable, recorded locally, viewable from your phone, with no cloud subscription required.

Includes
  • Placement survey with a coverage map of entries, driveways, and blind spots
  • Camera selection, NVR and storage sizing, PoE switch or injector plan
  • Mounting, recording schedules, motion zones, mobile remote access
  • Camera VLAN isolation and firewall rules blocking camera internet access
  • Recorded app walkthrough, credential sheet, 14-day support window

Not included: alarm monitoring; in-wall cable fishing through finished walls; new electrical outlets.

S2 · typical 4–14 h · 2–8 cameras

03. Home Security Consulting

A trained eye on your home's security — I walk your property, find the weak points cameras and locks can't fix, and hand you a prioritized action plan.

Includes
  • 60–90 minute on-site walkthrough: entries, lighting, sight lines, locks, network posture
  • Written assessment within 3 business days, ranked by risk, effort, and cost
  • Camera coverage sketch — where cameras would go and why (advisory only)
  • One 30-minute follow-up call to walk through the report

Not included: physical installation of any kind — this line is advisory; installs route to the camera line or a referral.

S3 · typical 3–5 h · 60–90 min on-site

04. Home Network Consulting

Dead zones, glitchy video calls, mystery slowdowns — I audit your home network, fix what I find on the spot, and leave you a plan for the rest.

Includes
  • Audit: ISP plan vs. actual speeds, router health, Wi-Fi heat map, channel congestion
  • On-the-spot fixes: router repositioning, QoS, DNS, firmware updates, default passwords
  • IoT/VLAN segmentation where existing hardware supports it
  • Written summary: current-state diagram, what was fixed, prioritized next steps
  • 14-day follow-up for "it happened again" questions

Not included: new hardware purchases (quoted separately); PC repair and malware cleanup; ISP disputes.

S4 · typical 2–5 h · same-day fixes

05. Technology Deployment

Buy it once, have it set up right — servers, NAS, workstations, smart homes, and anything with an app that fights back, deployed and documented.

Includes
  • New PC/Mac setup, data migration, email, printers, software to your list
  • NAS deployment: RAID, shares, permissions, backup jobs, remote access
  • Proxmox / Hyper-V / ESXi installs and VM provisioning for small business
  • Smart-home deployment: hubs, devices, scenes, and automations to a documented list
  • Credential sheet, what-was-configured doc, 14-day support window

Not included: network design and cabling (separate line); multi-camera systems; data recovery from failing drives.

S5 · typical 1–12 h · depends on target

06. PC Tune-Ups, Upgrades & Builds

Slow computer? I'll tune it honest — tell you when an upgrade buys you years and when it's time to build you something better.

Includes
  • Tune-up: startup, storage health, malware scan, thermals and dust, drivers, before/after benchmarks
  • RAM, SSD, GPU, and PSU upgrades with validation (memtest, drive health, thermals)
  • Data preserved on every job — backup and verified restore before handover
  • Custom builds: parts list with compatibility justification, assembly, OS, stress test, benchmark report
  • Drop-off bench preferred for tune-ups; on-site available for upgrades

Not included: phone/tablet repair; board-level soldering; data recovery from failed drives; manual overclocking support.

S6 · 1.5–3 h tune-up · 6–10 h custom build

How I Work

Every engagement, every line
  • Documentation at handover, every job: a credential sheet and a what-was-done document
  • A defined support window after handover — 14–30 days depending on the service line
  • Honest referrals: licensed electrical, in-wall cabling, board-level repair, and data-recovery lab work go to the right specialist — not improvised
  • On-site by default; PC tune-ups default to a drop-off bench
  • Travel beyond 25 miles billed as a transparent add-on
  • Sold on documented experience — credentials listed only once earned
